I am a Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist and a Certified EFT Supervisor. I help couples let go of old, negative ways of relating and help create new, powerful, bonding moments that allow the couple to move into new, engaged, connected, and caring ways of relating to one another. I use this same method in working with families or friends to heal hurt relationships.

I am a trained Brainspotting therapist and a previously certified EMDR therapist. After meeting the rigorous qualification of EMDR certification, and holding that certification for several years, I chose to let go of it in order to put more of my training focus into brainspotting. I use these modalities to help people overcome traumas (both big and small) and emotionally charged issues, to work with sports and other performance enhancement, to assist in healing and coping with health related issues, and to change stuck patterns.

I use the arousal model of neurofeedback to work with all kinds of emotional and physical issues. The brain controls everything related to our body and mind and therefor, when we train the brain we can improve and heal symptoms. This method of neurofeedback uses your unique physical, emotional, attentional, and other symptoms to guide the brain training process. It allows one to learn to gain a healthier EEG rhythm. Neurofeedback is a type of biofeedback that uses EEG brain waves as the method of information and training. When we are aware of our brain wave activity, we can change it.

I am an Emotionally Focused Supervisor. I feel passionately about helping other therapists to learn this challenging and rewarding model. I have a very supportive method of working with therapists as they find their strengths and challenges. I am happy to meet with therapists in my office, or to offer online supervision, including screen sharing to view your session videos. To schedule an appointment for supervision, click on the “Schedule Now” button on the right of any page.

Though my training and focus is psychodynamic, I also use well researched cognitive and behavioral techniques to help support the deeper changes that are being made. I view everyone through an attachment and psychodynamic lens.  I have worked in in-patient, residential, and out-patient settings.  I have many years experience at rape crisis centers as well as in private practice and college mental health.

I am more excited than ever to be a therapist. Many years of experience have melded with scientifically proven techniques that give my clients relief and change from emotional distress, in a shorter amount of time.
